The People Behind My Halloween

Looking at my Halloween decorations, I see the people who helped bring them together. My friend Cheri’s hat workshop, my daughter Ali’s creativity, and a few encounters with a hot glue gun have all contributed to this little gathering.
That fabulous witch’s hat came with a few burns. Mine.
My friend Cheri held a hat workshop and taught us how to make our own creations. There were flowers, ribbons, feathers, and a hot glue gun that reminded me several times why it’s called HOT glue. But look at the result!
The beautiful fabric pumpkins are Ali’s handiwork. She also gave me that adorable little orange bird wearing a witch’s hat for my birthday. Apparently, even the birds around here are getting dressed up.
And the skull? That’s my Ali, too!
I love bringing these things out and arranging them together. I get to enjoy what we made, remember the fun of making it, and appreciate the people who know exactly what will make me smile.
Thank you, Cheri, for sharing your creativity, and Ali, for adding so much of yours to our home.
Happy Halloween from our slightly spooky household! 🎃
