Dearest Mrs. Gong,

I’m missing you and your unconditional love right now. So much that I almost can’t stand it. Luckily for me you taught me a trick that always works. I will be grateful. I’m grateful for you. I’m grateful that you were, and will always be, my first grade teacher, my mentor, my hero, my best friend and my treasure. Even now that you’ve gone to be with your Heavenly Father and your wonderful Walter, I feel your presence in everything I see and every experience I have. Thank you for teaching me that every minute is precious and that precious things are often small and easy to miss. Thank you, Nancy, for sharing your precious memory with us and with the world.
